Raquel Okyay is a conservative writer and activist in New York State, Editor in Chief of RaquelOkyay.com, and contributing writer for HUMAN EVENTS Guns & Patriots Newsletter.   She is New York State Right to Life, Ulster County Director; Conservative Party Vice Chairman, Town of Plattekill; Founder and Co-Organizer of Ulster Orange Tea Party; and Co-Chairman of Hudson Valley Hispanic Republican Committee.

Raquel is on the Board of Advisors for the New York Young Republican Club, Inc. She is a member of Orange County Right to Life, Orange County Patriots, and Hudson Valley Patriots. Raquel is recipient of the 2010 New York Young Republican Club, Inc. award for “Phenomenal Use of Viral Media,” and the “Gift of Life” medal from New York Life Center in 2006.

Raquel is the former Executive Board Member of the New York Young Republican Club, Inc.; former Board Member of Bridge to Life; Member, Joint Parish Respect Life Committee, Brooklyn/Queens Diocese and Helpers of God’s Precious Infants; Former Conservative Party Leader in Queens County and ran for elected office in 2005.

Raquel graduated with Honors from St. John’s University with Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice Degree in 1995; and the recipient of St. John’s 1995 “Outstanding Merit in Public Speaking” award.
