We are still in power, ladies and gentlemen, despite what the President, Vice President, and Speaker of the House have to say or what document they sign. Their titles are just that, titles, they will come and they will go, but we will stay. We the People are the blood that flows in the veins of the American flag. Together, we are unbreakable. Every politician has an expiration date that is fated upon us and the decisions we make at the ballot box.
Obama from this day forward is a lame duck President, he is irrelevant and illegitimate. If he can’t tell the truth, why should we listen? If he’s on television, shut it off. The President has looked us in the eyes and has spewed arrogant lies time and time again. It’s enough. If he hasn’t listened to us by now, he never will.
After all, Obama is the ring leader communist in charge of this big mess. This is his fault, he pushed it, he wouldn’t let go. He made the bribes to each and every wavering Democrat. He forced the vote. We must hold him accountable for his actions, as well as every member of Congress. They will not stop unless we stop them. They will pass cap and trade legislation based on a hoax, they will continue to manage the banks and interfere in private industry, they will continue to burn our money quicker than a wooden house, I’m convinced, they are insane and un-American.
Every single Patriot across the Nation should hit their home districts with letters, emails, phone calls, whatever suits you. If your Representative voted for the health care “reform” bill, tell them to repeal it now or suffer the consequences in November, and barrage them with more of the same until Election Day. Once Patriots take over Congress in November, their first order of business must be to impeach Obama. Obama is a liar which automatically makes him illegitimate. We cannot sit by and let him transform America. He thinks the U.S. Constitution is a living and breathing document that can be tweaked at every cultural whim. He took an oath to abide by the U.S. Constitution, our BIBLE (thanks John for reminding me) and he is not adhering to it. He has turned his back on us — we will turn our backs on him.
My father came to America alone on a boat, hidden, with nothing, and nobody, because a little country 90 miles South of Florida, Cuba, was in chaos after the coup led by human rights violator Fidel Castro in 1957. He was lucky to get out because what progressed in the next 50 years was free health care, but severe limits; free food, but only a certain amount; free electricity, but only until 10:00 p.m.; free water but it’s cold, and the list goes on and on. Little by little the government took complete control of their lives. Now, they are dirt poor, do not have free elections, do not have freedom of speech or press, they don’t have computers, they don’t have cell phones, and they drive around in cars that are from the 1950s. This is communism alive and demoralizing in 2010.
So many people just like my father came to America because they knew it offered something different, it offers freedom and liberty and the pursuit of happiness. My father loves America so much he framed a replica of the U.S. Constitution and hung it on my living room wall. He said I lived in America — I should speak English. He told me that with a good education, I could do anything, because I am American. I believed him as a child, I believe him now.
We the People are America, not some phony in the White House, and not a bunch of sycophants in Congress. They are so done, they’re crispy. Are you with me?
I am with you and so are the people of America. This generational wake up call instigated by the fools who rule our Republic will be the flower that blooms from the muddy swamp. We shouldn’t wait till the incremental effects of this bill set in place, the practicing physicians fleeing their profession, the IRS enforcing the new individual mandates, our parents and grandparents denied medical care, hospitals closing, services cut, new technology and pharmacuetical research halted. This will occur incrementally over a period of time just as a frog in water won’t jump out and save its own life as the water is increased to a boil slowly. We must act now and work for the election of good principled leaders of the people, responsible fiscal conservatives who ethically serve their constiuents, in order to save our Republic. Their first order of business is to repeal the bill and dismiss the lame duck president. We can do it. Yes we can!

I would say don’t impeach Obama. Just repeal the health care act along with the Department of Energy, the Department of Education and the Department of Labor. Unfortunately, when Newt Gingrich had the opportunity to take such steps in the mid 1990s, he preferred to twiddle his thumbs and institute the current earmark system.
Let us hope that the GOP finally grows a pair of avocados (it is indeed tragic that the party that fought the Civil War is too timid to repeal a few rotten government agencies and by extension a few rotten laws like Obamacare).
I think, Raquel, that we need to take control of the GOP before we can take control of the USSA.*

We must reject being controlled by the “Nanny State” and instead become the NANNY, making regular visits at the state and national level. No repeal can happen while Obama is in office. In my not so humble opinion, the Republicans were complicit in this by playing footsie with these fascists time after time after time. The Republicans will run on repeal and then have a bushell full of excuses as to why it cannot happen. They will throw us bones in amendments in a piece meal fashion.
They sat back and let this happen, unwilling to fight dirty against thier friends in power.

ah and so the Obama name calling begins. You don’t get it do you. People (especially independents)get turned off with the name calling communist, illegitimate president etc. The people voted democrats in power and the democratic platform has always been clear. Again if you feel the republican party has a better platform exercise your right and vote in november. For every one of you who is crying foul there are countless others less fortunate who see the benefits of the legislation passed e.g. getting their children covered, no denial for a pre-existing condition etc.

Raquel most of those bullent points are peoples interpretation of what they think will happen as a result of the bill (of course most from republican sites and talking points). A lot of this takeover/socialism/communist arguments is the same argument made when medicare and SS was enacted. I don’t understand how people can shout socialism while hanging on to their precious medicare (which is a complete govt program). Here is what i read in the bill to be in effect:
1. It prohibits pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans;
2. Provides immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool;
3. Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans;
4. Lower seniors’ prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole;
5. Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage;
6. Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans;
7. Require plans to cover an enrollee’s dependent children until age 26;
8. Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing;
9. Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions;
10. Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.
This bill is not perfect but it’s a start.

Could not have said it any better. These politicians, be they in the council, state legislature or Congress, consider themselves elites. They believe it is their job to tell us how to live, and what we need to live. They cannot stop and think for a moment that perhaps it’s better for them to just keep an eye on making sure the wheels of government are running. But, they think it is their job to tax and spend on whatever they seem fit to fund. It’s a never ending cycle of corruption.
Look, we, the voters, are responsible for election and re-electing these folks. We can’t seem to stop and think and vote for the newer guy/gal. The time is now to throw these bums out. Congress needs new blood. We need statesmen, not politicians.

I don’t really understand. I’m new to politics. And from an all conservative family. I am just trying to figure stuff out for myself.
But it seems like nothing I read can get me to hate Obama as much as you all do. I want him to succeed.
I am confused why the tax breaks for all is more important than health care for 911 first responders. And I don’t get why Don’t ask Don’t Tell is such a big deal when 70% of troops are saying they don’t care.
I don’t see how the health care bill is communism. There’s no public option.
Sorry I’ll keep researching but you guys haven’t convinced me. I think both parties are douchey but I think REpublicans are a little more douchey than Democrats.
