New York has been plagued with a state government that has spent way too many years wasting money and kowtowing to unions and special interest groups.  These politicians have squandered the funds produced by the ingenuity and spirit of New York’s highly trained work force.  Those workers are fed up and ready to leave for lack of jobs and burdensome taxes, regulation and fees.

My suggestion is: Do Not Leave Yet, New Yorkers are resilient and creative, we will move forward and keep working to effect positive changes in government in order to keep residents and businesses right here in the Empire State.

It is time to support Governor Cuomo’s bold plan to cap property taxes and implement necessary budgetary corrections.   Thank you Carl Gottstein for your call to action, I agree with you 100%:

Dear Fellow New Yorker:

New York Patriots are united in our opinion: massive fundamental budgetary problems that affect us all run amok in New York State government. Governor Andrew Cuomo recognizes these fundamental problems and is offering solutions to some of the most glaring issues.

Gov. Cuomo points out that Medicaid’s exploding costs – as well as our exponentially growing education spending – are caused by flawed law and formulas that force huge unnecessary increases.

He’s right: this is a major reason for every New Yorker’s enormous, ever-increasing tax burden and expenditures.

The truth is clear: this must not go on.

Gov. Cuomo’s proposed budget forces the issue and the need for these corrections to be addressed. This is a critical reason Patriots and TEA conservatives must support this budget.

I have many other “likes” in Gov. Cuomo’s budget I could mention, but this vital reform must not be overlooked. This is solid long-term budgetary correction and New Yorkers need to put this one in the bank.

The GOP and the TEA Party did not win the Governor’s seat. But in my eyes, Gov. Cuomo is taking many of our TEA concerns on as his own.

We can only hope to force the course reversal of the ship of state by slow degrees – unless WE have a super majority control. Last I looked, We TEA Patriots did not have a lock on the Empire State.

I am one who knows a gift horse when I see one.

Patriots of New York: I support the Governor’s budget plan as a big step in the right direction.

I ask that you do also. Please write to your Senator and Assemblyman and encourage them to back the conservative fiscal reforms proposed by Gov. Cuomo.
