One thing not mentioned here is the pre-AIT pat-downs given to individuals who have metal body parts.

Airports have a right to conduct security measures for the safety of its passengers. Since 9/11, already instituted security measures have been heightened and the TSA has worked to improve measures to avoid possible scenarios of how one could hijack a plane.

The hype over the new screening is a bit overblown in that it is a more thorough scan from the usual metal detector screening and wand. You cannot find something that is not metal though and it appears you cannot train enough canines to stand by a screening line to stop suspects smuggling chemicals or substances. I can understand one being a bit modest about their appearance under clothing, but one has to consider the monotony of analyzing scans and the purpose of why you are being analyzed. TSA is looking for something that poses a threat, not that you have fake boobs, a small penis or no testicles. After hundreds of people a day, do you think this is something they even care about?

The big concern is the pat-down. While many people who have metal plates in their skull or brackets in their knees would be wise to notify TSA prior to walking through the scan. These folks were already getting some kind of pat-down because of their implant. The procedure is you are pat down by someone of the same sex. So men, no you can't apply for a TSA job in the hopes that you work a flight Kim Kardashian takes.

The suggestion that someone using the back of their hand is in anyway different from using the front of their hand is ridiculous. It's the same bloody thing.

One can only imagine, after the behavior of the Left when the Patriot Act came out, that if George Bush was still president, the analogies of a Brave New World or 1984 would be repeated over and over in the press. Unfortunately, that is not the case under President Obama and it appears the ACLU is questioning whether they should take a serious position because obviously the president is
not Republican and it's bad PR.

While I'm not sanctioning this new procedure and I do support questioning its implementation and favor all confrontational situations to be made public, I do believe we should re-evaluate how all this goes after six months, consider reviewing what Israeli security does to protect airline passengers, and make sure that the regulations implemented do not violate the 4th Amendment.

Well done piece here that succinctly defines the issue. Surrendering the protection afforded by the 4th Amendment for the illusion of aviation safety or protection for a terrorist attack. Some say it is worth surrender for the greater good of all. Not exactly so. Here is why:

1. The Full Body Scanners are in effect an electronic strip search for the purpose of revealing not weapons but explosives. [we have other means to identify weapons.]

2. The fatal flaw in the entire Electronic Strip Search model is the most compelling of all. What is the TSA plan to protect the flying public when they FIND explosives strapped to the body of a suicide bomber standing on line with hundreds of other travelers?

3. The purpose is to detect explosves but there is no plan of action if they find explosives. Now after hearing the words: "Allah Akbar" - kaboom!

4. The gruesome scene plays all over the world news and the entire planet is grounded. What is the outcome?

So now that we have just figured out that the ESS does not protect the flying public from anything nor stop a suicide bomber, deter a bomber, but in effect play into the hands of the terrorists plot to 'bleed us' dry, erode public confidence in the government, and create a tyrannical, onerous, dictatorship that nullfies our US Constitution; along with the bonus of conditioning the entire population to become 'sheeple'. To blindly obey authority. Just as the population of Germany in 1939 -1945 followed the order's of their government authority and abandoned all else.

There is a way to protect the flying public without abandonment of our US Constitution. The first step is protect our rights and embrace our US Constitution. The rest will come by natural order of process that accompanies the instinct of self preservation and American ingenuity.
