Fringe Media Reacts to Obama Opposition

The editorial writers at the New York Times are obviously out of touch with the hearts and minds of America. They believe we follow media goons such as Limbaugh and Beck like zombies because we cannot think for ourselves. So, they go out and demonize the goons we love, hoping that one of us zombies will now get that alternate schools of thought are abominable and must be dismissed by any means.

In a recent Times editorial, Fred Conrad, while making the point that people who object to President Obama’s health care plan are racist, reminds us of the time that a racial slur was hurled during a rally attended by an “all-white mob” hosted by Sarah Palin, then Vice Presidential nominee for the Republican Party. The racial slur the article referred to was a one- time occurrence reported by a lone journalist (whose credibility was questioned) out of dozens of rallies attended by thousands and thousands of people. Are we to believe that in modern day America, a group of white people cannot openly support a white candidate who is campaigning against a black candidate, without being deemed racist?

We are also led to believe that when the first African American in history is nominated for President, African Americans did not attend the Palin rally for fear of racists, rather than the fact that they supported Obama for President in droves – and would not be caught dead at a Palin rally.

Instead of addressing the real concerns that Americans have about healthcare overhaul, and Federal spending that has tripled the deficit, the fringe media and the White House have come up with ten excuses why the American people are in an uproar against Obama’s health care plan: Racism, confusion, misinformation, fishy lies, zombie-effect, anti-immigrant, special interest influence, wrong, angry, dangerous mob.

Here we are on the brink of drastically changing the way we receive our healthcare, and all the “best writers in the world” can do is bad mouth Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Americans who oppose the Obama plan. In disgust, I will leave the race-baiting and fear mongering to the professionals at the Times, and address an issue that is important to the public.

The President made two very clear promises at his address before Congress. He promised that no federal dollars will pay for abortions; and that illegal immigrants would not be covered under a government run health insurance policy.

The problem with the health care reform bills currently circulating in Congress is that they do not directly address these two issues. Members have introduced clear and concise legislation that would insure that the President’s promises are honored. The Democrat majority, however, will not permit these simple provisions to be added to any of the bills thus far, nor have they permitted any meaningful debate.

When President Obama tells us that his plan will not add to the deficit, will not cover illegal immigrants, will not cover abortions, will not squeeze out private insurance companies, will not lead to a government run healthcare system, and will not raise taxes on the middle class, we want to believe him. But can we?

  1. No – we cannot believe Obama… Why? Because Obama is constantly saying in his speeches ‘what he wants’ in health care/insurance reform… knowing all along that the pending Bill in the U.S. House of Representatives conflicts with what he says… Obama is referencing himself – not the pending legislation… Lying by omission.

Also – Obama is making a mistake faining he doesn’t know about obviously well known news items or events… such as ACORN or Van Jones… People know he is BSing… Obama is fooling no one.

And all this does nothing to help his own cause … So – is being unaware better than being intentional or knowing?

Pathological liars – lie even when the truth would serve them better – a sure sign that Obama carries the gene for unlimited lying.

But Obama lies anyway ’cause he is a self absorbed narcissistic mental case… thus oblivious as to the real reaction the public has to his ever increasing outrageous behavior.

Obama will politically self-destruct – it is only a matter of time…. Hopefully he will not do to much damage on the way through his own downfall…

  2. On ABC, when the President said he didn’t even know ACORN was receiving so much in federal dollars, I nearly choked on my coffee! Not even George S. could believe such a lie — even though he didn’t challenge it (chicken!).

  3. Excellent job, Raquel. I respectfully point out that when President Bush named Condoleeza Rice as his secretary of state (the first African American woman so named), the left caricatured her with hateful political cartoons, the most polite of which depicted her as a squawking parrot on President Bush’ shoulder. And the left has always characterized Justice Clarence Thomas as a stooge of Justice Scalia. When it comes to racism, as with anything else, the Left always uses a double standard.

  4. Raquel.

Just read your 9/21/09 piece. What you’ve documented is the sad truth that we cannot
believe a single word that comes out of Obama’s mouth. That’s a sad and extremely
dangerous state of affairs when it comes to
our president. Or, hasn’t anyone else noticed?

    Nah! Maybe it’s just me.

  5. Calling media outlets like the New York Times fringe Media is novel, I commend you for your originality.
As blogs and other social media gain traction as an alternative to what we are presently exposed to, I am sure we will turn the tide.

  6. Hi Nasir,

About a year ago it was my good friend Mitchell Langbert who suggested that I resist using the phrase “main stream media” since there is nothing “main stream” about them. Hence, I started referring to them as the “pissant media”. But, it was Glenn Beck on Friday who suggested the term “fringe”.

  7. No, we cannot believe the President. His words mislead. He knows and understands and the Congressional majority knows and understands that it would be very simple to exclude abortion and abortion funding and also protect conscience rights in health care legislation; however, the intent of this legislation is to include abortion, abortion fudning, and leave in doubt conscience rights.

Our nation cannot afford legislation as it is being proposed–it would lead to a financial collapse of our already weakened financial structure.

The medical community is understaffed and overworked under present circumstances–how can we even think about pushing our heavily burdened health care system into implosion?

The administration and Congressional majority are wrong–we all need to speak up and speak out–as President Lincoln said so well–a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people–we need to be heard and not let this health-care reform bill disaster take place!

  8. Notice that the MSM (or “fringe media”) now suffers from Glenn Beck Derangement Syndrome. Very sad. On another note, I am glad that a certain RINO named Golub lost his local district leader race. That give me hope for the GOP!
